Perkasie Patchwork Coffeehouse is thrilled to welcome Big Valley Bluegrass and Russ Rentler as opener to the February coffeehouse on Saturday, February 15, 2025, 7:30 pm. Doors open at 7 pm.  Address: 320 W Chestnut St., Perkasie, Pa.

From the Hills of Appalachia Pennsylvania, the Big Valley Bluegrass has spent the last decade filling the Northeast with their DYNAMIC blend of traditional bluegrass, jazz, and folk. Each group member brings their own flair and influence. We welcome Keith Kester (bass and vocals); Paul Spriet (banjo and vocals); Bill Parker (mandolin, guitar and vocals); Alison Gillespie (fiddle and vocals); Tom Gillespie (guitar and vocals).

Opening our evening is Russ Rentler. A gifted singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Russ blends Appalachian traditions with folk, Celtic, and blues influences, creating a one-of-a-kind musical experience. A founding member of the iconic Razzy Dazzy Spasm Band, alongside legends John Gorka and Richard Shindell, Russ is renowned for his dynamic live performances, featuring seamless instrument changes and humorous anecdotes from his unique journey as a physician-turned-troubadour.

The Perkasie Patchwork Coffeehouse is a ministry of the Perkasie Mennonite Church. The coffeehouse is warm and cozy, with lots of atmosphere. It is a place where people can enjoy fellowship and see some of the best performers available up close and personal, in an intimate setting. Perkasie Patchwork Coffeehouse is located in the church fellowship hall, which is air conditioned and handicap accessible.

Admission: $15 for adults; $12 for seniors 65 & up; students 13 and up, $8; 12 and under free. All ticket sales at door, no advance sales, no reservations.  Delicious desserts and drinks are available. The doors open at 7:00 and performances begin at 7:30.

A portion of our proceeds for the February and March 2025 concerts will go to Mennonite Disaster Service flood relief in North Carolina. You can also drop off donations of non-perishable food at all our concerts for Pennridge FISH (Fellowship in Serving Humanity), our local non-profit food pantry and clothing outlet here in Perkasie.
