Perkasie Mennonite Church meets for worship on Zoom every Sunday morning at 9:30 am. See the “Worship” page for login information.

We begin Advent with the theme: “Those Who Dream.” Join us as we look at dreamers in scripture, like the prophets, Mary, Anna, the shepherds, the magi. As we begin this new church year with Advent, we mark the end of a difficult year. Covid-19, our current civil rights revolution, the deep division in our nation – these events among many others is disorienting and disrupting our lives. But just maybe new possibilities and realities are being revealed to us. Dreams can we very disorienting and don’t always make sense. Sometimes though the help us uncover a deep knowing. Similarly Advent is a season of trusting God’s deep wisdom which guides us through disorientation toward new birth of life and hope.

During this time of physical distancing we learn new ways of connecting and building community in new ways. Let’s all do our part to keep everyone as safe as we can.

Remember, as the Psalmist says: “God is a VERY present help in times of trouble…”.  PMC members reflect with poems on the COVID-19 pandemic.

The virus explodes
crosses the seas
spewing its poison
in one giant blow
Life is breath, air
now it’s death
don a mask
stop the spread
shutter the windows
bar the doors
close out the world
Fear settles like fog
creeping through cracks
clogging noses and throats
then     see more
